The DIY air dry clay kit is perfect for beginners, you can easily make a pottery vessel following the instructions included and then simply pour in your sand wax. No experience Required!

Included in each kit:

Sunday Culture 300g plant based sand wax candle - 60 hours of burn time & 10 wicks!!

1kg white Air Dry Clay - enough clay to make 2 smaller candle vessels or 1 larger vessel. No kiln firing required.

2 x jars of paint from The Natural Paint Co (white, pink and green)

1 x jar of clear low tox sealant

Linen bag holding x 6 wooden clay tools and Paint brush

1 x Sponge

Instruction booklet with guidance to master the basic handbuilding skills and project ideas to get you started!

NO KILN REQUIRED. Allow your piece dry for 2 days then paint it. Once the paint is dry apply 1 or 2 coats of clear sealant.

IMPORTANT INFO

• Using the Sand Wax in your clay creation: make a vessel, aim for at least 10cm diameter to keep the melt pool away from the edges of the clay so it stays cool while burning. Always keep an eye on your candle while burning!
• Insert your wick into the sand leaving 1cm of wick above the wax to light.

You should know:

• Air dry clay is not waterproof. By applying one or two coats of sealer this will protect your clay, the sealer will provide a low level of water resistance, it will also make the pieces easier to clean/dust.
• If you make a cute vase, think dried flowers not fresh! OR make the base large enough to contain a small jar/plastic container for water.
